Dhiraagu encourages female applicants to apply for post of Board Director

Maldives’ longest-running telecommunications provider, Dhivehi Raajjeyge Gulhun Plc, has encouraged female applicants to apply for the vacancy announced for the position of Board Director.
Candidates interested in the post for Public Director is requested to submit their application before 4.00pm on 10th March 2020, revealed Dhiraagu in a public announcement.
According to the announcement, the board member is responsible for representing the interest of public shareholders at Dhiraagu.
The Public Director will be elected at the company's upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) slated for April.
According to Dhiraagu- in order to be eligible for the position- the candidate must be a current shareholder of the Company; hold a degree from a recognized university; have a good understanding of financial statement and reports; have at least 10 years of experience serving in a senior capacity in the public or private sector, and must not currently serve on the Board of more than two (2) companies listed on the Maldives Stock Exchange
Stating that the company is highly committed to gender diversity, the company urged more qualified female applicants to apply.
