"No reason not to build 100 storey buildings": Minister Maleeh
 
In the past, the minister has suggested introducing a series of interlinked, sustainable mega-skyscrapers, otherwise known as of vertical cities, to solve the issue of congestion.
 
He went onto add that there is no reason why buildings in Hulhumale' city should not be raised to 100-storeys once construction concludes for the airport and the Greater Male' bridge.
 
Taking to twitter on Saturday, Maleeh stated that land in Maldives is limited and expensive.

Speaking to RaajjeMV, the minister also stated that an alternative solution for the country is developing horizontal cities instead.
