Amendments made to BroadCom complaints procedure
The new procedure now includes a dispute resolution stage where a meeting will be arranged within seven days
Another amendment includes an option for relevant parties to request an appeal a decision by the commission.
Only cases which meet the legal requirements will be taken to the appeal stage.

Maldives Broadcasting Commission (Broadcom) has publicised amendments made to the commission's complaints procedure.

According to Broadcom, the new procedure now includes a dispute resolution stage where a meeting will be arranged within seven days to allow both parties to come to a settlement.

Another amendment includes an option for relevant parties to request an appeal a decision by the commission.

The commission further added that appeal requests must be submitted within 30 (thirty) days from the date the announcement was publicised after filling an "appeal request form". Moreover, only cases which meet the legal requirements will be taken to the appeal stage.
