A man has been found dead after jumping off a dinghy boat.
According to the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), the dinghy was traveling from the capital to the nearby island of Thilaufushi with ten passengers on board.
The man jumped into the sea off the dinghy and was reported missing to the authorities around 3:16pm on Friday.
Following the report, Coast Guard divers were dispatched who discovered his body under the sea at around 4:10pm.
No further information has been disclosed regarding the case.
