The civil court has set an example with the least amount of pending cases at the end of 2018.

According to the civil court, there were only four cases pending longer than a year at the end of 2018.

The civil court assures that it is working towards maintaining this number for the end of 2019 as well, by determining to conclude cases within a year and up keeping an even ratio of submitted cases to concluded cases.

Looking at the statistics, there were 1212 pending cases at the end of 2017. 4932 cases were submitted to the court in 2018, of which only 1780 was left pending at the end of the year.

The court highlights the role of its dispute resolution division in maintaining its efficiency. The division is the first stage of the case submission process and deals with settling the matter outside of court procedures by mediating between parties. If no resolution is found, the case is forwarded to under the court process.

Likewise, the division has resolved 1277 cases in 2017 with only 237 cases left unfinished. In addition, 3185 cases were submitted to the division at the end of 2018 of which 53.16% or 1819 cases were resolved.
