The state received MVR 5 billion from Goods and Services Tax, which is MVR 3 billion from Tourism Goods and Services Tax and MVR 1.9 billion from General Goods and Services Tax.
The state also received MVR 3 billion from Business and Profit Tax and MVR 498 million from Withholding Tax. Also, this year, the state had taken MVR 2 billion from Import Duty, MVR 592 million form Green Tax, and MVR 492 million from Service Charge.
According to the statistics on non-tax income, the state received MVR 1 billion from property income, which is MVR 896 million from resort leases, MVR 9 million from acquisition costs, and MVR 128 million from other property income.
The state received the second most non-tax income from Fees and Charges, which is MVR 1 billion. Accordingly, the state received MVR 492 million from airport development fees, MVR 232 million from resident permits, and MVR 291 million from other fees and charges.
It was earlier estimated that the state will receive MVR 16.51 billion from taxes and MVR 5.61 billion in non-tax income this year. The latest statistics have shown that the state has already received 70% of the estimated income.
