The establishment of the Maldives E-Court Management System (MEMS) is near completion.

The e-management system is set to provide an easy-to-use, streamlined, electronic court case handling process for the Maldives judicial sector.

It enables the judiciary to improve the justice system by automating court processes, monitoring case activities, and supporting decision-making through the use of real-time data and analytics.

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has decided to host the e-management system at the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA)’s data center servers, which will store and keep backups of the data. The current information in the judicial sector will also be transferred to the servers.

DJA stated that it has created a policy to control access and safeguard the data stored in the servers, according to international best practice standards.
