China won against Maldives 5 – 0 in the World Cup Asian qualifiers match on Tuesday night.
The Chinese team showed excellent ball control throughout the entire match.
China scored its first goal and took the lead at the 33-minute mark, while Maldives was appealing the injury of Maldives player Akram.
Maldives’ midfield, which consisted of younger players, had made several mistakes during the match, resulting in China scoring its second goal at the 43rd minute.
Maldives made major changes in the second half, with veteran player Ali Ashfaq being replaced by Hassan Naiz.
China scored its third and fourth goal through penalty shootouts and scored the fifth goal after.
