Social media activist Shamoon Jaleel (Lucas Jaleel) has been served with chits, summoning him to Maldives Police Service (MPS).

The chit said that he has to appear in MPS on Friday at 1430 hrs regarding an ongoing investigation.

Lucas had been summoned to Police on multiple occasions previously. MPS alleged that his social media activism 'created negative perceptions over' armed forces'.

However, the investigations never progressed to prosecution due to lack of evidence.
