Maziya wins International Cup of Joy

Maziya has won the International Cup of Joy, the under-14 football tournament.

Maziya beat Bangaluru 3-1 in the finals on Sunday.

The team made it to the finals by making a come back in their match against Chennai 2-1.

Maziya won two out of three matches in the group stage and showed a strong performance in the tournament.

The 12 teams that competed in the tournament had playing in three group stages. The Maziya team was coached by Mohamed Arif.

While this is the third International Cup of Joy, this was the first time that a team from a Maldives academy is participating in the tournament.

Teams from the Indian super league and renowned football academies participated in the International Cup of Joy.
