A nine-year-old has succumbed to dengue fever on Tuesday.
The media official at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) confirmed that the child’s body was brought in, but did not disclose the cause of death.
RaajjeMV understands that the child was a native of HDh Kulhudhuffushi.
This is the first dengue fever related death this year.
Over 900 cases of dengue fever were reported from January to March. Health Protection Agency (HPA) has advised the public to take precautions over the rising number of cases.
