Income from fish exports decline
 
Maldives exported 7,527 tons of fish products in March, 9,227 tons in April, and 6,615 tons in May

The income received from fish exports has declined in April and May.

The finance ministry statistics show that, this year, Maldives received USD 21.8 million from fish exports in March, USD 18.6 million in April, and USD 13.6 million in May.

Maldives exported 7,527 tons of fish products in March, 9,227 tons in April, and 6,615 tons in May.

Also according to the statistics, 103,000 tourist visits to the Maldives were recorded in May, which is a 60,000 difference compared to the 163,000 tourist arrivals in April.

Domestic flights have also declined, from 3,028 to 2,822 in May with a total of 89,000 passengers. International flights declined from 2,380 to 2,060.

Mobile broadband subscriptions have also decreased to 248,721 while fixed broadband subscriptions increased from 48,455 to 89,422.
