Employees of the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) have yet to receive their Ramadan allowance, RaajjeMV has learnt.
Some FAM employees told RaajjeMV that they have not been informed of when the Ramadan allowance would be provided.
However, FAM’s general secretary Hussain Javaz said that the Ramadan allowance have been provided to their employees. One employee also told RaajjeMV that their salary for last month was transferred on Tuesday.
There are 84 employees working at FAM, 40 of whom are in the atolls. Some workers have recently been dismissed on short notice.
FAM has approved a MVR 95 million budget for this year, with MVR 13.3 million allocated for administrative expenses, which is a MVR 3 million increase compared to last year.
According to the budget, most of the profit comes from sponsors, FIFA, and AFC.
