Four-wheeled vehicles restricted to one-way travel on main road
 
Four-wheeled vehicles will only be able to travel one way on the main road, from 8am to 2pm

Four-wheeled vehicles in capital Male’ City have been restricted to one-way travel on main road Majeedhee Magu at certain times.

The police service stated that, from May 9, four-wheeled vehicles will only be able to travel one way on the main road, from 8am to 2pm.

These changes were made due to the close proximity to school closing times and the transport of goods in the capital city.

For Ramadan, authorities have made huge changes to traffic flow and officers are also dispatched at heavy traffic areas. Vehicles are now only allowed to go on the Sinamale’ bridge from Boduthakurufaanu Magu and heavy vehicles are banned from the bridge.
