Helicopter joins search for missing girl

Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) states that a helicopter has joined their search of the girl missing at sea.
The 16-year-old went missing on Friday after her dingy overturned while traveling from L. Fonadhoo to Maamendhoo.
A coast guard diving team has also joined the search, which the MNDF central area has been conducting since they received the report on Friday night.
Maamendhoo council vice president Hussain Khabeeb said a boy from L. Gan was driving the dingy and that after the incident he had placed the girl on top of the overturned dingy and swam to a nearby resort to get help.
