A “Play, Learn and Fun” camp has been held to familiarize children with table tennis.

Table Tennis Association’s Exco member and former player, Ibrahim Shiuree said the main purpose of holding the camp was to familiarize children with the sport. Additionally, he said inculcating familiarity with the sport at a young age will allow children to become proficient in the sport.

Shiuree said the camp was held with different activities and completely different to other similar camps. National squad players showed their talent and video presentations on global TT players were also shown in the camp.

TT Association said that additional camps will be run in the future.

The camp was held from 1pm to 6pm Saturday in TT Hall.
