Football association fears FA Cup might not be held
The President’s Cup was cancelled due to other activities being booked at the national stadium

Football Association of Maldives (FAM) President Bassam Adeel Jaleel has warned that the FA Cup might not be held.
In an interview aired on RaajjeTV, Bassam highlighted that the new season has been stalled over various issues.
However, he said that they are still working to hold the FA Cup.
He added that the President’s Cup was cancelled due to other activities being booked at the national stadium.
Noting that the national stadium is now the only venue for large events, Bassam highlighted the importance of having an additional stadium and said that they will work to build a new stadium, even with the help of FIFA.
