Nasheed welcomed by supporters in Addu City

Former President Mohamed Nasheed has been welcomed by his supporters in Addu City on Tuesday.
Nasheed and his wife Laila Ali were welcomed at the Gan Airport by Mayor Abdulla Sodiq and members of the city council.
Thousands of his supporters also gathered at the airport and Nasheed had spent some time meeting each of them and taking photos.
Nasheed meets his supporters
Nasheed is accompanied in his trip by senior members and lawmakers of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
He has been holding a series of events and meeting with supporters since returning to Maldives from self-exile after the Supreme Court suspended his sentence after the Prosecutor General (PG)’s office requested a review of his case.
