Maldives Meteorological Service has created a Viber group to publicize weather updates and alerts.
Met office stated that it will publicize daily weather reports and alerts for tsunamis and earthquakes through the public chat group.
Those who wish to receive this information are to join “MV_WeatherAlertService” Viber group.
To cater for a wider audience in providing weather, earthquake and tsunami Alerts and daily weather update, we have created a community Viber group.
