Maldives Meteorological Service has created a Viber group to publicize weather updates and alerts.

Met office stated that it will publicize daily weather reports and alerts for tsunamis and earthquakes through the public chat group.

Those who wish to receive this information are to join “MV_WeatherAlertService” Viber group.

Met office also publicizes weather updates through its Twitter account and Facebook page.
