Galolhu-South constituency MP Ahmed Mahloof is to attend a Criminal Court hearing over the terrorism charges against.
The lawmaker, who is currently under house arrest, revealed that he is to attend court at 1:00PM on Tuesday, claiming that this would be the first time he attends ‘with some hope’.

Prosecutors raised charges of terrorism against Mahloof for participating in a protest near the Maafushi prison. The lawmaker is also facing charges of filing ‘misinformation’ with a state office.
Mahloof, who has served a jail term for obstruction of police and became a whistleblower for acts of violence carried out at state detention facilities, is also facing charges for distributing face masks at protests.
