L. Gan residents came out to show their support for Joint Opposition candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih during ruling party vice-presidential candidate Dr. Mohamed Shaheem’s visit.
Dr. Shaheem, the running mate for President Abdulla Yameen, arrived in Laamu atoll on Friday.
He was greeted by supporters of ruling Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) in Gan and Fonadhoo. At the same time, supporters of the opposition coalition parties held a motorcycle rally for candidate Solih by driving around Gan.

The rally saw many Gan and Fonadhoo residents driving from Thundi harbor to Fonadhoo harbor.
Residents from the three districts of Gan came out to greet Solih and join the Joint Opposition’s campaign event in the island.
