HPA advises citizens to undergo influenza vaccination
The agency said in their circular that vaccination services have been set up at local hospitals

The agency has reported a rise in influenza patients

The Health Protection Agency has advised as many residents as possible to undergo vaccination for influenza.

The agency said in their circular that vaccination services have been set up at local hospitals, and advised everyone who can undergo vaccination to do so. The vaccination currently available in Maldives is suitable only for those above the age of six.

The vaccination is available at privately-run ADK Hospital as well as state-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Senahiya Hospital, and the Hulhumalé Hospital.

While the military-operated Senahiya Hospital provides vaccination services nearly around the clock, more information on services from aforesaid hospitals is available through them.

The agency has reported a rise in influenza patients and the ADK Hospital had even set up a fever clinic to cater to an increase in the number of patients with fever and flu-like symptoms.
