Ali Waheed, former chair of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), has implied that he will be joining Jumhoree Party (JP).

In a tweet on Saturday, Waheed, a former MP, said he wishes to thank all the members of MDP from the bottom of his heart.

In the tweet, Waheed wished for success on MDP leader and former president Mohamed Nasheed and the party’s PG leader Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Not giving any details, he said that he was leaving and asked people to watch VTV at 9:30pm.

This comes at a time when JP has announced a special assembly in Germany with leader Qasim Ibrahim on Saturday at 9:30pm. The assembly will likely be live-streamed on Qasim’s channel VTV.

JP said that the assembly is a signing ceremony for a prominent politician and others.
