Adhaalath Party's (AP) Vice President Ali Zahir has said that the passing of Dr. Majeed is an immense loss for Adhaalath Party, and the Maldivian, as well as the entire islamic community.
Mr. Zahir also said that the well-known religious scholar and former Islamic Minister Dr Majeed Abdul Baaree left behind valuable memories and sermons for the community. In a tweet posted on Tuesday, Zahir sent condolences to Dr. Majeed's family, and also prayed that he is granted a place in heaven.
Dr. Majeed passed away at the age of 55 on Tuesday. The former state minister started receiving treatment last Friday due to a sudden change in his medical condition after a stroke during a trip to Sri Lanka.
