'Jazeera Raees' campaign ceremony to be held in Naifaru

Former President Nasheed contesting in Maldivian Democractic Party's (MDP) primary election held to secure the party's ticket for Presidential Elections 2018, plans a campaign ceremony in Lhaviyani (Lh) Naifaru.
The ceremony in Naifaru is to be held on 23rd May at 10:00 pm. Members from MDP's National Congress and parliamentarians will be speaking at the aforementioned ceremony.
President Nasheed's campaign office informed media that he will be speaking to Naifaru citizens at the ceremony. The former president in exile has been addressing the public in various islands through video conference calls. For instance President Nasheed reached out to the people in central and eastern islands through skype on Monday.
As President Nasheed announced his candidacy for the primaries, MDP's parliamentary group members and other leading officials offered their congratulations and support. The 'Jazeera Raees' or island president campaign initially kicked off in Hithadhoo, Addu City.
