Application forms for 'Hiyaa' flats now available
7000 flats are being developed in Hulhumalé
The flats have been divided into 12 categories
'Hiya' project commenced on 18th November 2017, under which several government companies have started developing flats

Application forms for 7000 flats that are being constructed in Hulhumale' under the current government's housing program, will be available after 2:00 pm today at Dharubaaruge. 

The time to release the application forms for the flats being developed under 'hiya' project which has been divided into 12 categories, was confirmed in a tweet posted by Housing Minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. 

The government has decided to give 1000 flats to civil service staff, 1000 flats to married couples between the ages 18 to 40, 1000 flats to Malé citizens who are not registered in the 'dhaftharu' and 1044 to citizens registered in the dhaftharu. Housing Ministry also announced that doctors and nurses will receive 475 flats, teachers will receive 625 flats and single parents are to receive 500 flats while 200 flats have been reserved for persons with disabilities 

Furthermore, the government that 600 flats to police and military officers, 300 flats to people who paid for Gulhifalhu flats but did not receive one and people who received TATA flats but failed to make the payment, and finally, 256 flats to people living in Maafannu under poor conditions. 

'Hiya' project commenced on 18th November 2017, under which several government companies have started the construction of flats, as per their announcement.
