First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim
First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim arrived in Fuvahmulah on Wednesday.
She arrived in the island to drum up support for President Abdulla Yameen prior to this year’s presidential election.
Supporters of the ruling party welcomed her at the airport.
In her four-day trip, she will be meeting with residents at the different districts and join the ruling party’s ceremony on Friday.
Parliament speaker Abdulla Maseeh, deputy speaker Moosa Manik, and some MPs arrived in Fuvahmulah a day earlier and arranged the welcoming ceremony for the First Lady, island residents informed.
