MNDF launches 'Family Evening' event

Officers of the MNDF at an event held to mark their 126th anniversary

The Maldives National Defence Force has on Friday kicked off their 'Family Evening' event, a two-day event that aims at further developing relations between officers of the secutiy service and the public.

The event will be held for two hours on Friday and Saturday, from 16:00 to 18:00. A number of families had attended the opening on Friday.

Chief of Defence Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam, Brigadier General Ahmed Shahid, and a number of offices along with their families had participated in the rally.

The event was launched at Rasfannu Beach in capital city Malé. The military has been holding a number of events to commemorate their 126th anniversary.
