Rasdhoo rally: Opposition given warm welcome upon arrival

AA Rasdhoo residents have given a warm welcome to senior members of the Joint Opposition after they arrived at the island on Friday for a rally later that began later that night.
A large number of locals were waiting for the leadership and MPs of the opposition on Friday evening.
Those joining the rally at the Rasdhoo harbor area include Ibrahim Mohamed Solih (parliamentary group leader of MDP), Abdulla Kamaaludeen (JP deputy leader), Dr Abdulla Majeed Abdul Bariq (Adhaalath Party), and other members of the Joint Opposition.
This rally which began at 9pm, saw the most number of MPs and senior MDP members out of any opposition rally in recent history.
Many supporters of the Joint Opposition have also travelled to Rasdhoo from AA Tholhu, Thoddoo, and Ukulhas. The Ukulhas travelled speedboat with opposition party flags hoisted and were greeted upon arrival by senior opposition leaders.
