The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has passed to distribute dividends of MVR 2.60 per share.
The company’s directors took a vote on the matter at the company’s annual general assembly for 2017. The event was held on Thursday night, at the presence of 501 shareholders.
MTCC had garnered a total of MVR 1.29 billion, out of which 145.4 million is profits. The company said that this a 26 percent increase compared to their profits the year before.
Most of MTCC’s income was garnered through construction and project management. The company ran a total of 63 such projects, 36 of which has been completed.
MTCC, which operates all of the state’s inter-island ferry systems, acquired 55.86 million through transport in 2017, a 37 percent increase from their transport-profits last year.
