The Addu City council has commended their college councilor Faisal Ibrahim, for taking the imitative to tackle the unsanitary conditions at the Hithadhoo Regional Hospital’s lavatory.

The Maradhoo ward representative was given a certificate of recognition at an event held at the council premises. Mayor Abdulla Sodiq had given out the award.

The condition of the hospital’s lavatory had surfaced due to several complaints posted to social networking platforms eventually being picked up by local news outlets.

“I just could not bear to look at it” Faisal said about the condition of the hospital lavatory.

Faisal had then been photographed tackling the issue himself and cleaning the lavatory using gloves and cleaning agents he bought himself.
