Gan island’s local government council has announced that they are looking for contractors to build a boundary wall around their waste management center and a building for their compost lab.

The council’s circular says that they are looking for contracts that would take up this project and would give preference in its selection process to those that can provide their own material.

The council has said that more information about the project will be available at their office in Gan, from 10:30 AM of this Thursday onwards.

Lack of adequate waste management is a key issue for the island. The council have hired hands to help keep the area around their waste management center clean.
