Chief of Defense Force Major General Ahmed Shiyam travelled to Malaysia on an official trip on Saturday evening. 

Vice Chief of Defense Force Brigadier General Ahmed Shahid and some senior officers from MDNF bid farewell to Major General Shiyam at Velana International. 

MNDF provided information that Major General Shiyam is traveling to Malaysia on an official trip to participate in the 16th 'Defense Services Asia Exhibition and Conference'.

The conference organized at Kuala Lampur, Malaysia will continue from 16th to 18th of April. Senior officials from over 60 national defense forces from various countries will be attending the conference. 

Major General Shiyam is expected to travel back to Maldives on the 17th of this month.
