Addu-Meedho MP Rozaina Adam has said that President Abdulla Yameen’s rule has weakened.

She said this at the joint opposition rally held on Friday night at opposition MDP’s campaign site.

The MP said that President Yameen no longer has public support and that an administration that lies to the citizens should not have the freedom to rule.

She said that the results of the last local council election show that no one is willing to vote for President Yameen or ruling party PPM.

Speaking on MP Ahmed Mahloof’s recent remand, she said that the charges against suspects change frequently and called on the prosecutor general to be more responsible.

MP Rozaina also expressed concern over how easily authorities raise terrorism charges over suspects.

Finishing her speech, she said that the joint opposition will continue their work and there will come a day when the Supreme Court order to release political prisoners will be implemented.
