Male’ City Councilor Ahmed Niyaz was released on Wednesday evening
Opposition-aligned Male’ City Councilor Ahmed Niyaz was released on Wednesday.
The councilor for Mid-Henveiru constituency was arrested on March 16 during the mass anti-government demonstration.
Dhangethi MP Ilham Ahmed’s younger brother Adam Zalif has also been released after being arrested on February 20.
They were all released on Wednesday evening.
