Three suspects have been arrested for allegedly making the recent anti-government videos, say police.

The videos uploaded to YouTube shows three masked men in police Special Operations (SO) unit uniforms threatening to join the mass anti-government protest on Friday.

In a tweet on Friday night, the police service said they’ve taken three suspects into custody over the video, bud did not disclose who they were.

RaajjeTV’s Head of Programmes Amir Saleem, who was arrested under a court order near the TV station on Friday night, said that he was told the arrest was regarding the video. RaajjeTV journalist Mohamed Wisam was also arrested under a court order while covering Friday’s protest.

In the videos, the masked men urged everyone to join the rally and vowed that the police Special Operations team will be joining as well.

They said that the government is using police officers to take unlawful action as well as frame people and ruin the lives of families.
