A man has left for India for medical treatment, after he suffered a broken hand at a protest.
Former B. Thulhaadhoo councilor Mohamed Usman was injured at a rally at opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s campaign site near Artificial beach on February 16.
RaajjeMV understands that he left on Saturday morning.
Usman broke his arm after he fell down as police officers at the rally were pushing away protesters.
He was one of the first elected councilors during the Nasheed administration.
