Nadheem is facing allegations of bribery

The Maldives Correctional Services has refused to allow Mohamed Nadheem’s family to provide him with a pair of shoes.

Nadheem, who is advised by his doctor to exercise routinely, has been jailed since February 5th, and was apprehended with father-in-law former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.

His legal representatives and family have both expressed concern over the matter.

The Correctional Services are reportedly refusing to transfer the pair of shoes on the grounds of having to wait for orders from senior officers.

Nadheem is facing allegations of bribery in relation to February’s contentious Supreme Court ruling.
