Detained activist Ibrahim Rasheed Moosa, commonly known as ‘Bro Rasheed’, is on hunger strike.
Rasheed was arrested at the opposition rally on Friday, 16th February, and has been incarcerated since.

Rasheed had been apprehended alongside a number of the allied opposition parties’ supporters, and detained under the authority granted to the police through the state of emergency declared this month.
The Prosecutor General’s Office has sent a letter to the police asking that all those detained under the state of emergency, be released.
