Police tried to enter detained MP Faris Maumoon’s home Wednesday morning to look for a criminal who had fled a prison sentence.
Officers were searching for a 34-year-old man who has been given a three-year prison sentence by the drug court.
Faris’ lawyer Hussain Shameem told RaajjeMV that the officer’s document had the name of a completely different house.
RaajjeMV received information that the criminal lives at M. Sena Rose, but the police document had ‘M. Snow Rose’, Faris’ home, scribbled with a pen on the side. Officers had waited outside his home for a while and left.
Shameem called on the police service to be more responsible.
