Opposition leader and former President Mohamed Nasheed has met with RaajjeTV journalist Hussain Hassan at a Sri Lankan hospital.

Hussain Hassan travelled to the neighboring country after being assaulted by police while covering a protest on Friday.

Nasheed lauded Hussain for his courage and wished him a quick recovery.

Doctors' diagnosis shows that Hussain suffered internal injuries, and bruises can be seen on various parts of his body.
