The Maldives Correctional Service’s vehicle crashed into the Criminal Court on Sunday after the driver nearly blacked out.

A Criminal Court official told RaajjeMV that the driver vomited and lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into the courthouse’s fence, causing damage to both the vehicle and the court’s entrance.

The official said that the driver was driving slowly, but lost control after he suddenly became ill.

The vehicles are typically used to transport prisoners to the courts.
