Former President Mohamed Nasheed has met with Maldivian students and their families living in Bengaluru, India.
The former President is in India to take part in a literary fesitval organized by The Hindu. He is to speak about the State of Emergency declared in the Maldives, Supreme Court rulings, the current political crisis as well as on running political activities while in exile.
Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe, India's Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Punjab's Cheif Minister Amrinder Sing, Andra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu are among the figures that will be part of the festival.
The former President had been living in exile since he was given authorization to go abroad for medical purposes, following his guilty verdict on terror charges.
