Authorities cancel scheduled family visit for AP leader Imran

Authorities have cancelled the scheduled family visit for Adhaalath Party Leader Sheikh Imran Abdullah.

An official of the Party had confirmed the cancellation, adding the cancellation came suddenly.

The official reported that this was the first family visit granted since the Government declared State of Emergency. The cancellation, he said, had sparked concern from the family.

Imran was in jail at the time the Government announced State of Emergency. However, former Defense Minister Colonel Retired Mohamed Nazim was at house arrest at the time and was transferred back to jail.
