The Criminal Court has again scheduled and cancelled its hearing over journalist Ahmed Rilwan’s abduction.

The last of the hearings scheduled this week was for 3:00 PM on Thursday. Prosecutors have put forth allegations of terrorism against a total of three individuals.

The court has cancelled hearings over the case three times in a row this week and authorities are yet to provide a reason for it.

The last hearing for the case was held on 12th February, and the judge had heard testimonies from four witnesses.

One of the witnesses had said that he had sat beside Rilwan on the ferry to Hulhumalé, but having lost sight of him ‘as soon as’ they docked there.

Prosecutors have charged the three individuals with having abducted Rilwan from outside his rented apartment in Hulhumalé, on the night of August 8th, 2014.
