MP Ilham Ahmed, the parliamentary representative of the Dhangethi constituency, has turned himself over to the police for questioning.
The police revealed this in a post on their Twitter account, specifying that the time MP Ilham did so to be 11:37 AM on Monday.
Officers had previously revealed that MP Ilham is being investigated on allegations of attempting to overthrow the government and bribery.
The police had on Sunday arrested his spouse, who was released on Monday and summoned to the police headquarters after.
Officers have also reportedly confiscated a mobile phone used by one of Ilham’s relatives.
Ilham is being investigated for the set of allegations involving the Supreme Court ruling, on the 1st of this month.
