A car being driven on the bridge in Gan district of Addu City has lost control and fallen into the sea.
The police said that the incident was reported to them on Monday morning.
Officers said that the driver of the car had been the only individual inside at the time of the incident.
The car has now been pulled back to surface. The driver remains uninjured.
