Wife of Supreme Court Justice Ali Hameed was taken into Maldives Police Service (MPS) custody.

The family had confirmed this to RaajjeMV, stating that she was taken into custody after MPS conducted a search on their residence. Additionally, they were told she was being taken in for questioning.

In their search of the residence, the family said watches and pieces of jewelry were confiscated but not cash was taken.

MPS is silent on the matter.

This is the fourth arrest made on a member of the Justice’s family. The Justice is still in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) where he is reportedly doing better.
