Supreme Court Justice Ali Hameed taken to hospital on a stretcher
Supreme Court Justice Ali Hameed has been hospitalized following a severe decline in health.
Justice Hameed was taken to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) on a stretcher by soldiers and police officers, on Wednesday at 12:00am.
He is reportedly being treated for a heart problem.
Justice Hameed and the Chief Justice were arrested at the Supreme Court on Monday night, after the government declared a state of emergency.
This follows the Supreme Court’s order last week to release nine political prisoners and reinstate 12 opposition MPs.
