Security forces have closed down the Supreme Court gate.
Former Attorney General Husnu Suood said that security forces blockaded and locked the Supreme Court building.
He said the justices are now inside without any food.
The government has declared a state of emergency for 15 days.
The order released by the President, under the powers granted from 20 clauses of the Constitution, has curtailed several rights.
The announcement was made after days of political unrest in the country following a Supreme Court order to release nine political prisoners and reinstate 12 opposition MPs.
